Economic Impact and Destination Event Grant Program Awards

Congratulations to four of Montana’s Yellowstone Country organizations that received grant funding for events that will help increase tourism in Montana communities. The Montana Department of Commerce awarded 48 grants totaling $828,000 in March. Local recipients include The Livingston Songwriters Festival, Music in the Mountains in Big Sky, the Red Lodge Winter Bash (New Event), and the Yellowstone Rendezvous Race in West Yellowstone.

“Economic Impact and Destination Event Grant funding assists Montana’s communities with destination events and new happenings that can help increase regional, national, and international tourism, promote Montana's unique attributes, and generate additional revenue for local communities,” said Commerce Director Marta Bertoglio.
