Stillwater County
If Stillwater County could be known for one thing, it would be the stunning beauty. Tucked at the base of Custer National Forest and the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, the massive mountain ranges frame the rolling hills. It’s a spectacular area with scenic drives to unique restaurants, shops and outdoor recreation. In fact, MontAsia in Fishtail was recently named a semifinalist for Best Chef in the prestigious James Beard Awards.
It’s also home to Tippet Rise Art Center, a 12,000-acre working sheep and cattle ranch, also
featuring classical chamber music and recitals, and with large-scale outdoor sculptures, which can be viewed via biking, walking or vehicle on their network of trails and roads.
