New Chamber Director at Sweet Grass County Chamber of Commerce
Welcome, Aaron B. Freed, new Director of the Sweet Grass County Chamber of Commerce! Aaron, a graduate of the Air Force Academy and former active-duty pilot, served for 16 years in the U.S. Air Force before transitioning into the private sector, spending the last decade in economic analysis, digital marketing and app development.
"Aaron’s unique blend of disciplined leadership from his military career and his agile, entrepreneurial mindset is exactly what Sweet Grass County needs right now," said John Holifield, Chamber Board President. "We are thrilled to welcome him and look forward to his strategic vision for supporting our current businesses while working to diversify our local economy."
"If Montana is 'the last best place' then I want to help make Big Timber and Sweet Grass County 'the next great place'," said Freed. "I am driven by the challenge of bringing people together with passion and resources to create solutions that work. I look forward to improving the quality of life here through robust business development and advocacy."
While born in Billings, Freed has a long history in Sweet Grass County. He grew up visiting Big Timber and the Gallatin National Forest, and his parents have been residents for nearly 30 years. Freed has resided permanently in the community for the past three years.
