Summer Season in Yellowstone National Park

We're nearing the end of the winter season in Yellowstone — the West Entrance will close to tours on March 15 to allow plowing to begin. Roads generally reopen the third Friday of April (weather dependent), and if the roads are clear, spring biking in Yellowstone can be fantastic! Don't forget, the road between Gardiner and Silver Gate remains open to vehicles year-round, and the Lamar Valley is prime for spotting wildlife babies beginning in late April!
